BUYING CAR INSURANCE
There is no such thing as “Full Coverage”
When interviewing clients, many tell me they have “Full Coverage”; this is what their insurance salesperson told them when they purchased their insurance. Beware of the phrase “you are Fully Covered” for there is no such thing as “Fully Covered”. What you are really being told is that you have satisfied the minimum coverage required by state law to be street legal. You are not being sold a policy which takes into consideration your personal coverage needs of: Full Tort, Uninsured Motorist Coverage, Underinsurance Motorist Coverage, and Collision Coverage. To obtain these coverages, you must tell the insurance salesperson that you want them added to your policy.
